A couple questions about ovulation-Please help!!?

There are certain ovulation calendars that will calculate your average cycle length and will then use that number to show when you are ovulating. Seeing how you guys have been trying for 8 months now, I would go to a doctor anyways and ask to see if there is any hormone shots or anything that could possibly help you getting pregnant or regulate your period.
