I spilt gravy on a good top I washed it in water (so mum not mad) stain didn't goI rubbed it with soap and....?

there is fat in gravy-- thats why it tastes good. Its usually just flour, butter and milk or water-- not vinegar. Anyway, figure out what breaks down fat. O remove oily part of stain, rub gently with heavy-duty liquid detergent. It may have to be taken to the cleaners.
